  • IPsmarx Announces Completion of Interoperability Testing with 360networks

IPsmarx has announced a referral arrangement with 360networks, a full service wholesale provider of Private Line Transport, VoIP, IP, and Local Access (T1/DS3) services on its wholly-owned fiber optic backbone. Through this arrangement IPsmarx will recommend 360networks’ IP and Toll Free Origination services to complement IPsmarx Class 5 and IP-PBX Solutions.

According to IPsmarx, following the successful completion of interoperability testing between the two companies, IPsmarx’ existing entrepreneurial and calling card operator customers can now utilize 360networks’ Wholesale VoIP Origination services to "grow into new markets, offer more services and decrease the initial investment to get started."

Steve Cardwell, vice president of sales at 360networks, stated, “We are excited to have completed interoperability testing with IPsmarx so their customers can now easily deploy our wholesale VoIP services in conjunction with IPsmarx’ award-winning solutions.”

“This interoperability relationship with 360networks furthers our mission to fully support our clients as they enter the VoIP market,” says Andrea Lopez, Technical Sales Representative for IPsmarx. “Giving our clients many options for DID providers and termination suppliers allows them to expand their businesses and become more competitive.”

According to IPsmarx, their solutions are "modular, scalable and flexible." This gives clients the opportunity to customize solutions to their needs or offer multiple services from one platform. IPsmarx helps service providers minimize the risks of entering a new market by providing security, technical training, support and a reliable billing platform.

Meeting IPsmarx’ specifications, 360networks is compatible with IPsmarx’ SIP Based Calling Card solution that helps entrepreneurs and existing calling card operators manage and grow a successful calling card business. Features include; a variety of recharge options, home services to set up customer accounts and an E-store site to sell services on-line. Service providers can also offer a Class 5 Solution which provides value-added services to become a residential IP phone service company with features such as conferencing, voicemail and calling packages.

The IPsmarx Multi-Tenant IP-PBX Platform empowers VoIP Providers to deliver robust VoIP services to their SMB and enterprise clients. With abundant features and streamlined customer management, IPsmarx’ IP-PBX Platform integrates billing, call routing, and e-commerce into one unified solution.

  • IPsmarx Wants to Revolutionize the Calling Card Industry

IPsmarx released their newest innovation for the prepaid phone card industry that is said to allow Calling Card and Pinless Service Providers to expand their network of sales agents, increase their customer base, and reduce operating costs.

The development came about when IPsmarx discovered, through internal client surveys, that there are two unmet needs in the prepaid calling card industry:

    1. The ability for end users to recharge pinless accounts in person, without using internet or a credit card.
    2. The ability for an agent at a retail location to recharge an end user’s pinless account over the phone.

“Traditionally, the prepaid calling card market has consisted of consumers who pay cash in person for printed cards,” said Carrie Fedders, Account Manager with IPsmarx.

"This segment of the market typically doesn’t have access to the Internet, may not feel comfortable using a credit card or simply do not own a credit card. However, with the growing trend of pinless dialing, which is much more convenient for consumers, we decided to develop a solution so cash paying customers can still take advantage of the convenience of having a pinless calling account, without having to pay online with a credit card,” he said.

With the new Retail Store Recharge feature, service providers can now enable their retail store agents to recharge customers’ PINless calling accounts in person. Agents also have the ability to recharge customers’ accounts over the phone through IVR (Interactive Voice Response,) allowing service providers to sign up agents that may not have access to a computer or internet at their retail locations.

Since only a phone is needed to complete the transaction, this new system enables service providers open up a non-traditional network of PINless agents such as ethnic grocers, restaurants, and small convenience stores.

“The release of this unique feature, furthers our mission to help our existing client base of Calling Card Service Providers expand their businesses,” says IPsmarx CEO, Arash Vahidnia, “The calling card market is changing rapidly and with the development of cutting edge features such as this, we can be certain that our clients are in the forefront of the competitive marketplace.”

According to IPsmarx, Calling Card Service Providers who implement this new feature benefit from reduced operating costs – namely calling card printing and marketing costs. Further, they are able to expand their existing network of sales agents and increase their recurring business, thus increasing market share, and, lastly, by offering a singularly unique feature in the competitive calling card landscape, “they are leaps and bounds ahead of their competition.”

The company claims that customers who depend on calling cards to stay in touch with friends and family living in foreign countries will be the biggest winner of this new technology. “They’re able to experience greater convenience by retaining one primary calling card carrier instead of buying single use cards each time they need to make a phone call.”

  • Winning VoIP Philosophy: Interview with Arash Vahidnia, CEO of IPsmarx

“VoIP penetration among businesses is increasing rapidly, but I believe that reliability and redundancy can still be improved. Many service providers have not yet implemented redundancy to improve reliability,” said Arash Vahidnia, President and CEO of IPsmarx, in an interview with VoIP.Biz-News.com

IPsmarx SIP-Based Calling Card Platform has recently been awarded our “Product of the Year Award 2009”.

The platform is an all-in-one solution that incorporates both Pin & Pinless service management with advanced recharge options, integrated billing and e-commerce, as well as rich marketing features. Because the solution is SIP based, there is no need for a physical gateway to be installed, which dramatically reduces operating costs and go-to-market time.

The award goes to IPsmarx second year in a row. We asked Arash to tell us what he thinks makes their product unique: “Because all of our solutions are built on the same platform, we are able to provide a unified solution. Therefore, service providers are able to offer a wide variety of VoIP services without installing and managing more than one piece of equipment or billing interfaces,” he answered.

He gave us this example: “We have clients who offer residential VoIP service, calling cards, and manage callshops or internet cafes and they are able to use the same billing system, agent management solution, and marketing features for each service, which significantly reduces their operating costs.”

“IPsmarx also puts focus on testing and reliability, enlisting the top testing companies to test our billing and switching capabilities under the most stressful conditions and the highest capacity and CPS (calls per second), to ensure that our platform can support the most successful VoIP companies out there,” he added.

When asked how the Platform has changed during this year and what features have been added to keep it competitive on the market, Arash said, “Our development team is constantly adding new features based on our clients’ needs. This year we’ve added a complete suite of marketing features, such as integrated email marketing, a customer service ticketing system, loyalty program management, and discount and promotion tools for service providers. We’ve also enhanced our reseller and agent management platform, enabling many different multi-tiered selling strategies among our clients.

“We’ve also added additional solutions to our product line, enabling calling card providers to expand and offer other VoIP services as well, such as business and residential VoIP service. We’ve released the latest version of our IP-PBX platform for business service providers recently.”

He revealed that the company will also introduce some new features pertaining to smart phones in the near future.

He said IPsmarx has seen a lot of their clients grow and expand their businesses with IPsmarx solutions over the years. “Small start ups have become nationwide chains and we have remained their preferred backbone because of our scalable solutions and high customer support standards,” said the CEO of IPsmarx.

As for plans for 2010, Arash said the company will continue to add features to our IP-PBX Platform to encourage growth among Small and Medium Business Service Providers.

“We believe that the Small and Medium business sector will begin to adopt VoIP more rapidly in the near future, creating an opportunity for service providers. That is why we have placed an emphasis on developing features for providers addressing this market,” he said.

He also said IPsmarx is looking forward to the ITW show in Washington, DC May 24th-26th where they can meet with new and existing clients.

“For the last 10 years, our philosophy has been to foster growth among our service provider clients’ businesses. Therefore, we strive to support all of our clients to achieve success and expand their service offering in any way that we can,” he concluded.
