At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona we met with Christian Nyborg from MasMovil, a low cost Spanish mobile operator currently working with 100,000 clients.

They came into the market two years ago, competing with big operators like Movistar, Orange or Vodafone but charging half the price.

Christian tells us how the European Commission has said that Spain has the highest tariffs for mobile telephony services in the world, with the financial crisis consumers have shifted their spending habits and are now looking for ways to save money and maintain their quality standards.

The company is indeed seeing a shift in Spanish consumer trends and hopes to be seeing a major change in the Spanish mobile market in the next years.
