  • MWC 2010: 2D Barcode Reader in Action

    At the Mobile World Congress we spoke to Avi Marinstrauss, VP Global Sales at 3GVision, the company that is the global pioneer and leader in mobile barcode reading. Their star product i-nigma offers comprehensive 1D/2D mobile barcode solution incorporating a code-creation, campaign management and advanced metrics reporting platform.

    Since 2002, they have embedded over 100 million phones with their barcode reader for global tier-1 mobile operators (Telstra, France Telecom), mobile handset manufacturers (Nokia, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson, and Motorola) and most Japanese vendors (Sharp, NEC, Kyocera, Toshiba).

    They say 3GVision is the de facto’ industry standard in Japan – the world’s first fully developed mobile barcode market.

    Biz-News.com reporters interviewed Klaus Düll, the owner of PRETIOSO, the distributor of Datomo mobile solutions for German speaking market.

    Datomo provides mobile application development and marketing services and offers web to mobile content integration& adaptation. PRETIOSO localizes all the Datomo’s apps for the German language.

    Klaus gave us a live demonstration on the world’s smallest wireless printer and scanner designed for smartphones and offered by PLANon. According to him, the printer is also the world’s first to have built in paper cartridge.
