    At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona REVE Systems, a provider of VoIP products and solutions was presenting its flagship product – iTel Mobile Dialer Express that’s being used across 1200+ switches, in more than 50 countries across the world.

    iTel Mobile Dialer Express is a soft phone or dialer to make VoIP call from the mobile phone. This has been designed keeping operator’s requirement in mind.

    According to Ron Pass, Sales Director at REVE Systems, iTel Mobile Dialer Express not only let your clients to make VoIP call from their mobile phone using your VoIP service, but will let you do the branding of your service as an operator.


  • MWC 2010: Interview with Adam Schlegel of GestureTek

    At the Mobile World Congress we spoke with Adam Schlegel, Lead Algorithm Designer at GestureTek, inventor and patent-holder in video-gesture-control software for interactive displays and devices.

    Gesture recognition software uses the camera in a mobile device to provide a touch-free mobile user interface.

    Their EyeMobile Engine is the world’s first software-only solution that uses the existing camera on a cell phone or mobile internet device to provide people with the ability to interact with their device using motion or gestures.

    By shaking, rocking or rolling the phone (or making hand motions in front of the phone) users can answer a call, play mobile games, scroll menus, navigate maps, view images and documents, browse the web and enter text messages without pressing buttons.

  • MWC 2010: Interview with Romeo Xue Zhong of Vtion

    Vtion is one of the three leading providers of wireless data card solutions for mobile computing over wide area networks in China.

    Their data cards are designed to enable users to access telecommunications networks using mobile computers or personal computers. It offers a broad range of wireless data cards, with PCMCIA, USB, Mini-USB, Express Card 34 and PCI Express Mini interfaces.

    At the Mobile World Congress we spoke to Romeo Xue Zhong, Regional Sales Director at the company, who believes Vtion is one of only a few suppliers of wireless data cards in China that has the capability to produce wireless data cards for all 3G industry standards.

  • MWC 2010: Interview with Scott Papenfuss of Aplix

    At the Mobile World Congress we talked to Scott Papenfuss, Director of Business Development at Aplix, a Tokyo-based company that deploys Java technology in mobile phones and other consumer electronics devices.

    One of the products they were presenting at the show was MIDP 3.0 platform. MIDP 3.0 provides a complete and customizable application platform that spans operating systems and device tiers. It enables always–on access to all device screens and all device functions, and enables concurrently running applications. It also helps to solve the Java fragmentation problem by running applications consistently.

  • MWC 2010: Interview with Blayne Jackson of rapIDscan

    The rapIDscan solution for mobile operators allows anyone with a suitably configured handset to collect subscriber’s ID data through an automated process combining Text and Facial Recognition and using the handsets advanced camera function.

    The user is guided through a step by step process to collect and validate ID information with an applet installed to the handset with transfer via GPRS to a central server which is interconnected to the operator’s IN or CRM.
