    Eseye is a Machine to Machine (M2M) service provider with its own infrastructure (APN) and multiple operator interconnect agreements. They offer complete support services, from the initial engineering and product design phase (SIM integration) to fully launching connectivity (SIM provision).

    They help manufacturers design communications into their products; they normally work with battery powered products which need to operate for a long period of time.

    Ian Marsden showed us how their technology can help remotely monitor the temperature in a vaccine fridge.

  • Hypertag: Direct Marketing from the Street to Your Mobile Phone

    UK Trade and Investment had a stand at the Mobile World Congress where eight UK companies where represented.

    We spoke to Jonathan Morgan, Director of Hypertag, the company sends content to mobile phones which is free for user to download via Bluetooth of wi-fi, their technology is available on shops and they have contributed to increasing the sales of their customers.

    They gave us a live demonstration of their technology at the Mobile World Congress.


  • Flexenclosure: A Balance Between the Telecom Industry, the Environment and Development

    Flexenclosure develops, manufactures and delivers turn-key shelters for the telecom industry. Stefan Jer, CEO of the company, told us about their solutions for renewable power with which they focus on reducing the diesel sites in Africa and other countries, their goal is to reduce the use of diesel by 80%.

    Stefan told us about their add on to their E-site solution which takes the excess energy produced for telecom and makes use of it in the home.

    They have a lighting system which is currently being used in Africa, Latin America and Asia a booming technology which brings energy to homes around the world; these homes can now start using small appliances such as TV, mobile or light. They are looking to grow 100% this year; we wish them the best of luck.

    The company specializes on messaging and related applications for mobile phones, helping end users connect from their mobile phone to data in the internet.

    Push email and other Push services are readily available on a global scale.

    At the Mobile World Congress we met with Andrew Ruckemann, Director of Business Development at Aktavara; they are market innovators providing software that improves the business performance of networks.

    Their x:akta software is used by world-class network operators for automated, dynamic inventory-based design and planning of all active and passive network resources – from MOBILE BACKHAUL to FTTx.

    Apis Technical Training is a technology training company. They deliver trainings to operators, suppliers, service providers, regulators and consultants globally. They provide in-depth 2G/GSM, 3G/UMTS and 4G/EPS courses and business training covering the mobile evolution and its business impact on operators.

    They recently launched on-line training, enabling participants to enjoy Apis renowned training anytime and anywhere. They claim that unlike traditional e-learning, Apis’ on-line training is interactive, engaging and reduces the overall cost of training significantly.

    Prosilient Technologies is the provider of application aware end-to-end service performance management, QoS measurement and SLA supervision systems for multiple communication networks. At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona we spoke to Bo Söderberg, COO and Co-Founder of this Swedish company.

    The Prosilient system facilitates a uniform IP performance management through all segments of the operator network. The same system monitors the service, and aggregation networks as well as the SAN and IP end-to-end performance.

    At the Mobile World Congress we spoke with Nikolas Georgii, marketing Director at Teligent Telecom, a company that specializes in messaging, charging and customized IN applications based on a common middleware platform.

    They are also a global supplier of infrastructure solutions for Value Added Services to telecommunications operators. All solutions are based on the award winning Teligent P90/E Application Architecture – a true generic architecture for convergent service development, conforming to the 3GPP IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS).
