LG has released its newest 4K TV termed UB9800. The new ultra HDTV comes in 84, 79, and 65 inch models.

LG UB9800 Ultra HDTV has a resolution of 3840 × 2160p and makes use of IPS LCD panels. It also features 4K Engine Pro, webOS Smart TV capabilities and edge-lit LED backlighting with dimming capabilities. In addition, 4K TV supports H.265 HEVC codec and the HDMI 2.0 spec.

A 98-inch model of the same series is to be released later this year. The LG’s latest Ultra HD display series are now available at Amazon with 84UB9800 going for $14,999, 79UB9800 for $7999, and 65UB9800 for $4,499.

David VanderWaal, head of marketing for LG Electronics USA said that LG aims to take their ultra HDTVs to the front position by offering quality TV pictures and other “exceptional benefits.” According to him, the best way to market Ultra HD is by offering consumers a “better way of experiencing excellent quality” which he promises the UB9800 delivers.
